Admission Procedure

Indian Candidates

  • Notifications & advertisements about the application forms & important dates will be published on the MIT-VPU website.
  • Application forms can be filled online at the MIT-VPU official website by paying the application fee for entrance examination of Rs 750/- for BBA & BCA, Rs 1000/- for B.Tech, MBA & MCA, & Rs 1,500/- for B.Des (non-refundable) through online mode. (Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI)
  • Candidates will be selected either through National Level Entrance Tests / Maharashtra CET/ MIT-VPU CET (Entrance Test) conducted online / offline across the country.
  • Admissions will be purely based on the ranks secured in All National Level Entrance Tests / Maharashtra CET/ MIT-VPU CET mentioned in respective eligibility criteria of the programmes.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on their rank/score & Personal Interaction (if applicable) as per the Eligibility Criteria.
  • Eligible candidates will be allocated seats based on their scores in the respective examinations.

International Candidates

  • Admissions will be based on marks or grades obtained in the qualifying exams (As per Eligibility) & seats availability. (Subject to the verification of eligibility by the equivalence committee of the university.)
  • All admissions will be provisional subject to verification of eligibility as per the norms of the University.

List of Documents Required for Eligibility

For Undergraduate Programs (First Year)
  • 10th or equivalent mark sheet / passing certificate
  • 10 + 2 or equivalent mark sheet / passing certificate
  • Leaving / Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate –all candidate other than Maharashtra State Board
  • Birth Certificate / Domicile Certificate / Nationality Certificate*
  • Caste Certificate, in case of reserved category candidates
  • Caste validity Certificate
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for reserved category candidates other than SC and ST, valid for admission year
  • GAP certificate (in case GAP is minimum of one year)
  • Valid Entrance exam score card (for Professional Programs only) @
  • Photocopy of Aadhar card

* The leaving certificate will be considered as Nationality / Birth / Domicile certificate in case the leaving certificate of the candidate is having the mention of Nationality and Place of Birth.

* In case a student is not having Nationality / birth / domicile certificate and there is no mention of Nationality and Place of Birth on the leaving certificate, then the candidate has to give a notarized affidavit on stamp paper of Rs.100/- in the prescribed form attached as Annexure 1.

Note:

  • If any candidate submits duplicate leaving / transfer, statement of marks or any other document then candidate must give a notarized affidavit on stamp paper of Rs.100/- in prescribed form attached as Annexure 2.
  • In case the name of the student is changed for any reason, then the candidate must submit a Government Gazette notification to that effect.
  • Anti-ragging form by student and parent – must be filled up on www.antiragging.in

    Concerned Schools / Institute is required to submit Transfer / Leaving Certificate, Migration Certificate, and all affidavits, if any, in original to the eligibility section. These documents will be preserved by the eligibility section of the University office permanently. School / Institute may keep photocopies of the same with the School / Institute for their reference.

For Post Graduate Programs
  • Undergraduate program final year mark sheet and passing certificate.
  • Leaving / Transfer certificate
  • # Migration certificate
  • * Birth Certificate / Domicile Certificate / Nationality Certificate
  • Caste Certificate, in case of reserved category candidates
  • Caste validity Certificate
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for reserved category candidates other than SC and ST, valid for admission year
  • GAP / Work Experience certificate (in case GAP is minimum of one year)
  • @ Valid Entrance exam score card (for Professional Programs only)
  • Photocopy of Aadhar card

# In case Leaving / Transfer certificate is having mention of migration, a separate a migration certificate is not required or vice versa. Further if a concerned institute / University issues a letter certifying that they don’t issue Migration Certificate then such letter will be sufficient for compliance of Migration Certificate.
